Harriers have snapped up more defensive reinforcements in the form of another title winning defender in Emeka Obi.
Obi has been a sizable presence at the heart of defence for AFC Fylde over the past few seasons, making over 100 appearances for the Coasters, not least 31 in their National League North title winning season in 2023.
Fylde lost on just five occasions with Obi in the side that term, with the former Wigan youngster bringing physicality and technical ability to the backline.
He signed at Mill Farm in 2021 having also made his senior career debut at Bury at the age of just 15.
Standing 6ft 5, the Nigeran-born player work closely with Reds boss Adam Murray in that championship season, where he also played alongside fellow Aggborough newbie Pierce Bird.
Murray said of his latest capture: know what this league is about, you have to be very good in both boxes and, at six foot five, Meeks brings that as a basic.
very quick. For the way we would like to play, you need pace, and he bring that.
only 24 years of age so he comes to us with a really hungry attitude after probably not playing as much as he would liked at Fylde in the National League.
come with a point to prove and, like Pierce, when we won the league, he was a mainstay in it for us.
knows what it takes to get out of this division, and you can put a price on that. to Aggborough, Emeka!
